Olivia Forsyth says She Got Ronnie Kasrils’ Blessing to Write Agent 407: A South African Spy Breaks Her Silence

Agent 407Radio news anchor and entertainment reporter Andrea van Wyk recently interviewed Olivia Forsyth about her controversial new memoir, Agent 407: A South African Spy Breaks Her Silence.

Van Wyk begins the conversation by asking: “Why now?”

“Well, I always wanted to put the correct story down,” Forsyth says. “The true story of what actually happened. Because, especially during the police propaganda campaign after I came back to South Africa, there were so many lies woven into the story that nobody in the end knew what the real story was, except me.

“It was always very important for me to get it out there, so that people knew what had happened.”

Forsyth says she started writing the book when she left South Africa in 2001, and even got the blessing of Ronnie Kasrils before she decided to write it.
