Robin Renwick: Disregarding FW de Klerk’s Contribution is Foolish (Podcast)
Robin Renwick, author of Mission to South Africa: Diary of a Revolution, was interviewed by John Maytham for CapeTalk about his book recently.
In the interview, Renwick spoke about his experiences of FW de Klerk and Nelson Mandela. He says that De Klerk was a reluctant reformer, but he initiated South Africa’s democratic contribution because he was a pragmatic and deeply moral man.
Renwick says that disregarding De Klerk’s contribution is foolish, and the controversy about the renaming of Table Bay Boulevard is absurd.
